RIHEBC’s new program, HELP, is designed for eligible organizations with operating budgets of $10 million or less who face challenges obtaining traditional financing from banks and credit unions. With competitive rates and terms of 3, 5, 7, and 10 years, HELP loans will range in size from $25,000 to $250,000 and are specifically designed to support organizations who have missions related to enhancing the lives of Rhode Islanders with health and well-being programs, and cultural and educational programs.
HELP Loan Basics
Eligibility
Rhode Island not-for-profit institutions and cities, towns and school districts that meet RIHEBC’s statutory eligibility requirements. Not-for-profit examples include mental and physical healthcare providers; child day-care centers and institutions of secondary and post-secondary learning; cultural organizations like museums and performing arts centers; recreational facilities like YMCAs and Boys and Girls Clubs; and community service providers such as homeless shelters and after-school programs. - HELP applicants must have been in existence for at least 3 years.
- Loan to be used for capital projects or equipment purchases that further the mission of the borrower.
