RIHEBC Closes On $5.9 Million Bond Issue To Finance District Wide Construction and Renovation Projects for Burrillville Schools

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – On June 15, the Rhode Island Health and Educational Building Corporation (RIHEBC) closed on a $5.95 million bond issue for the Town of Burrillville to finance district wide construction and renovation projects for Burrillville Schools.

“RIHEBC is pleased to provide the Town of Burrillville with bond financing to allow the town’s school district to complete multiple school construction and renovation projects,” said Kim Mooers, Executive Director of RIHEBC. “The $5.95 million bond issue was sold to investors at a premium of $436,000, generating a total of $6.38 million to pay for school facilities projects. Burrillville was fortunate to sell its bonds prior to a significant rise in interest rates and secured an all-in cost to borrow of 3.87% on this 15-year bond.”

Since 2006, RIHEBC has provided more than $2 billion in bond financing for public school facilities projects across Rhode Island.
